While actors like Irfan Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone have explored the international cinema, Indian superstar Aamir Khan shows no interest in going to Hollywood.
In an interview to PTI, Aamir said he is totally interested in working in Bollywood and has no plans to go to the US and work in Hollywood. He also said that he is very much open to working on international projects if there is anything interesting that comes his way.
In an interview to PTI Aamir said, ” I have a relationship with the audience here for last 25-26 years and I cherish and give a lot of value to it.”
When he was asked about plans in working in Internation cinema he clarified that it’s not bad to entertain the global audience and he is certainly not adamant on his decision to not work in Internation films but at the moment it’s not in his career graph.
The 51-year-old actor said, “If I get something interesting I will do it. There are no boundaries for creative purpose. If I get an offer from Japan and if I like it, I will do it.”
Dangal star believes that many Hollywood films Jungle Book, Jurassic Park and Spiderman series Fast and Furious etc has made good money in India but these movies do not possess any threat to Indian cinema. He expressed that Indian cinema should be afraid within the Indian film fraternity because if the quality of the movie that we are making goes bad then we will lose the audience automatically. ” I don’t think anyone can come and take away out business so easily”, he added.
Aamir said people come to watch a good film and the aim should be to make a good film. It’s as simple.
