Ten minutes with the film and you get to know what the film has in it. Every weekend, Munna Michael (Tiger Shroff) and his friends make lakhs of rupees (yes, that’s right) from bratty rich guys at nightclubs tricked into dance face-offs.
There comes a turning point when they are banned from all clubs in the city.
That’s the time Munna sets off to Delhi. He stars his dance face-offs at the new land itself. The first guy he wins against turns out to be related to Mahindar Fauji played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Hence, Munna is brought in front of the trigger-happy Mahindar. No no, nothing what you thought. Surprisingly, Mahindar Fauji asks Munna to train him to be a “first-class dancer.”
Why, because of Dolly (Nidhhi Agerwal), who is a dancer at a club and love of Mahindar’s life.
He wishes to impress Dolly by putting up a spectacular performance on Valentine’s Day. Nawazuddin’s attempts to become impress Nidhhi brings much humour. From matching steps with Tiger to faltering Dolly with English pick-up lines, he is “42 and running” Nawazuddin, who has given all his efforts to lift the film on his shoulders. But of course, he can’t do it alone anyway.
On the other hand, Nidhhi does not have much to do in the film, except swivel her hips. Also, she is no match for Tiger in the department of dance. Farah Khan also makes a cameo in the film, and is there to judge the dance competition. You get to see her over-the-top expressions every time she sees Tiger Shroff dancing on the floor.
You have to decide if you want to see some cool dance moves or spend your time watching some worthy releases this week.
“In one of the action sequences we can hear the repeated sound of bones being smashed while the expletive ‘Bahen…’ plays on the soundtrack. The Central Board of Film Certification has asked for both the sound of bone smashing and the Hindi expletive to be muted. In another fight sequence, a character is repeatedly hit with a rod. The press persons asked for the sequence to be reduced to one shot,” said an unidentified source to the media people.
