After the increase in the protest against the movie Padmavati, where the star cast of Padmavati and its makers are threatened by the outfits, Aditi Rao Hydari has expressed trauma and sorrow on the ongoing issue related to the movie. The actor, who is also associated with Padmavati replied on a remark passed by BJP leader Suraj Pal Amu.
She said ‘there is no difference between a gangster and political leader.’ Suraj Pal from Haryana has decided to give prize money of Rs 10 crore to the person who would behead Padmavati director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the film’s female lead Deepika Padukone.
Responding to the same statement, Aditi took to Twitter and wrote, “Basically this is a ‘supari’. It’s a free for all, is there no difference between a gangster & a political leader? The government is quiet… why? This is a deep embarrassment for India.”
Aditi is playing the role of Mehrunisa, the wife of Alauddin Khilji in Padmavati. She knew that after her action, she would welcome repercussion and the actor would get trolled and become a point of laughter for her words. And soon, one of her fans was keen to respond to her comment.
He wrote, “#padmavatifight Here she Plays Victim Card 👇 now” to which Aditi gave a befitting reply, “Excuse me @InvincibleBabu! You think I need to play a ‘victim’ to make a point? maybe you can stop playing the ‘misogynist card’ already and grow a brain soon!”
Suraj Pal Amu, the BJP’s media adviser in Haryana, told the media on Sunday evening that he has “announced to double the prize money of Rs 5 crore declared by Meerut youth Som”.
A man called Thakur Abhishek Som from Meerut had reportedly claimed to give 5 crores bounty a couple of days back.
As a number of violent actions are planned to take against the release of Padmavati, the most controversial movie of the year, the producer Viacom18 Motion Pictures on Sunday announced it had “voluntarily deferred the release date of the film” from December 1.
