After having a quiet 2017 up till now, Emraan Hashmi has begun his new film project, Captain Nawab after Baadshaho.
The serial kisser shared an image from the movie sets and made a declaration about the commencement of film shoot today.
Captain Nawab, which is being directed by ace filmmaker Tony D’Souza, was declared in the year 2016 and took the web by storm with its initial appearance.
The star was witnessed putting on an army officer’s uniform with a backdrop of Indian and Pakistani ensigns, turning his look tremendously fascinating.
This is Emraan’s second film project with film director Tony D’Souza. Previously, the two got paired for Azhar that was the biographical film on the controversial life of ex-cricket player Mohammad Azharuddin.
The ace star is also destined to hit another landmark with the new project.
The actor has also become film producer with this film “I’m really excited to turn producer in collaboration with Tony D’Souza, who is an extremely talented filmmaker and a great friend,” Emraan stated in a declaration.
Tony D’Souza showed his contentment over the teamwork. In a report, the director stated that he is pleased to join hands with the well-known actor for the new project
“After the success of Azhar, Emraan and I are happy to join hands in this venture. While we cannot disclose much at this juncture, we are finalizing the script and the casting,” Tony said.
In the meantime, Emraan had an honest run at the BO in 2017 with Baadshaho that had him joining hands with well-known personality Ajay Devgn and Milan Luthria yet again. The three had beforehand worked together in Once Upon A Time In Mumbai.
While talking about the movie, the actor earlier stated, “It is inspired by a real event, but eventually it is a fictional piece of work. This has been sourced out from true happenings in our country, there is some element of fiction added. But it doesn’t go into the masala zone. It is very gritty, very real. It in an entertaining war drama thriller.”
“It has a sense of realism and at the same time, it is entertaining. Bringing together these two things is a challenge, but I am sure we will be up for it,” added Emraan.
Elaborating on his character, he said, “I am nervous before playing any character. For me, that is what drives me. The day I become cocky about a character or a film, I think I will fail miserably. It is very important for me to have that positive nervous feeling, that I need to rise up and do my best.”
