Exactly 1 year back, our honourable Prime Minister went on air to announce that Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes currency wouldn’t be a legal tender post 12:00 AM. The biggest currency was just a scrap in moments. It’s been 1 year, and people are still trying to figure out that whether the step has succeeded in its aim or has failed miserably.
However, PM Modi has today, thanked all the people who supported him in his decision in the fight to curb black money and corruption. This morning, he tweeted,
And also gave the benefits of demonetization:
Hate it or love it, but you cannot forget the night. Some years later, you are gonna tell your children that you lived in an era when there used to be Rs 1000 notes. Your children won’t watch ‘How I Met Your mother’ because you will have a better story to tell– In the ATM line.
