In interviews to media post her eviction Arshi Khan has confirmed that she will donate a sizable sum of her income from Bigg Boss to charity and particularly for the education and vocational training of street kids in Mumbai.
Before her eviction Arshi Khan’s manager and publicist Flynn Remedios had claimed that Arshi Khan will donate her earnings from Bigg Boss 11 to Charity for the education of Street Kids. However, at that time, many people took it as a sympathy stunt to get votes as she was facing eviction.
For the last 3 years she has always spent her birthday with street kids and has been involved in Charity initiatives for their education and income oriented vocational training.
A two-year old video published in 2015 of Arshi Khan distributing food packets and sweets to kids can be found on YouTube.
This is something that is very close to Arshi Khan’s heart and I can assure and guarantee you that this is not just an empty promise or stunt. It’s part of her values and she has been wanting to do something big for street kids for a long time. She will also launch a support group for providing vocational training to street kids to enable them to get jobs and make a decent, dignified living, Remedios has said before her eviction, while she was still inside the Bigg Boss house. This has now been reiterated and confirmed by Arshi Khan post her eviction.
Arshi Khan has also requested Colors and Endemol India to join hands with her in this initiative and include it in their CSR efforts. She wants to be part of the CSR activities of the two corporate entities, she told media persons during her eviction interviews.
