From being a famous star of adult films to being one of the most desired actresses and item girls of Bollywood, Sunny Leone has come a long way. Right from the beginning of her career in India, she has faced a mix of admiration as well as disapprobation. But the actress has always chosen to speak her heart out and stand firm with what she thinks is right. And she has done it yet again.
Sunny Leone was invited and was supposed to perform at a new year event to be organized at Manyata Tech Park, Bengaluru on New Year’s Eve. But T Suneel Kumar, the police commissioner of Bengaluru, has denied permission for the event. The police cited a writ by the Karnataka High Court which had ordered authorities to make sure peaceful celebrations of the New Year and prevent inappropriate incidents from happening. Several Kannada outfits who are not in favor of the event had also launched protests against it.
Kumar stated that the police force of Bengaluru would be spread out across the city on New Year’s eve and therefore would not be able to provide “adequate security”. The event management company organizing the event filed a petition in the Karnataka High Court asking approvals for the program as it had been planned almost two months ago.
While the tussle between the show organizer on one side and police and court on the other side was going on, Sunny has her stance clear in the matter. On December 19, she made it public in two tweets. Have a look at the tweets below:
But it seems that Sunny was disappointed with her event being cancelled as she retweeted a tweet slamming Congress for criticizing the state of law and order in UP and themselves not being able to maintain it in Bengaluru. Have a look at the tweet below:
As Sunny finally broke her silence on the issue, Twitter came out with interesting reactions on her tweets. Check out some of these below:
