Priyanka Chopra is the one actress in Bollywood who is winning hearts not only in India but all over the world. The actress earned global fame after starring in popular American TV Show ‘Quantico’ and has also been a part of American action-comedy film ‘Baywatch’ released last year.
Apart from her acting skills, PeeCee who is also the National Brand Ambassador of UNICEF has always been a part of social welfare programmes and voiced her opinion regarding social issues.
Recently in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, the actress seemed to be taking a dig at current US President Donald Trump. When the host asks her about to whom does she think should be the next President of the United States of America to which she replied, “Anybody will do at this point. And I don’t even need to explain why.”
Well, yeah PeeCee you really don’t need to explain why, as a majority of the Americans also must be agreeing with you. But this is not the first time she’s expressing her dissatisfaction with the current administration of US.
Earlier when Trump imposed an indefinite ban on Syria along with other Muslim countries including Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen, Priyanka shared her views on the same through her LinkedIn blog post, “As a global citizen, this has deeply affected me. All of the ‘banned’ countries are places where a lot of UNICEF work is going on, where children are suffering the most.”
In the same interview, Priyanka answered some other questions also very boldly and smartly. On being asked, whether she would like to be the next Oprah Winfrey, her answer was ‘yes’ with a twist. “Not Oprah but I would like to be a Chopra”.
Not bad PeeCee!!
