During November 2017, comedian Mallika Dua had a pungent argument with actor Akshay Kumar, as she stated that he made a sexist comment at her, during their time as reviewers at the Great Indian Challenge Show.
Looks like Mallika is still enraged from the clash as she recently took a cunning dig at Akshay’s Pad Man endorsements policy on her Insta handle.
For the endorsements of flick Pad Man, Akki has been challenging Bollywood biggies to hold a sanitary pad, with the intention to fight the taboos around periods.
In a series of Instagram tales, Mallika wrote, “Always remember. Each time you feel weak, each time you feel lesser than your equals, each time you feel you’ve been made to feel lesser for no reason and that the fight has just about begun, when you feel society and the govt have not given you your due, hold up a sanitary pad and post a picture of it on Instagram. You will feel empowered. So empowered. Bye.”
It’s understandable that Mallika still hasn’t pardoned Akki for his remarks to her, in the Great Indian Challenge Show.
As the reviewers are needed to hit a key to ring the bell if they like the challenger’s comedian act, Akki had told her, “Aap bell bajao, main aapko bajata hoon.”
Mallika made use of her Twitter handle and showcased her reservations regarding such a declaration.
Her dad, Vinod Dua, criticized Akki in a Facebook post afterward.
“I am going to screw this cretin Akshay Kumar for telling his co-worker Mallika Dua that “aap bell bajao main aap ko bajata hun. This is his sense of humour and language. Star Plus. Wake up.”
Both of them removed their posts afterward.
All hell busted over the social platform, and Mallika and her dad, had to confront the outcome of fuming trolls.
Khiladi Kumar’s spouse wife, Twinkle Khanna interfered, and turned matters shoddier by making some funny stories at Mallika’s expense. She afterward expressed regreted for her remarks.
