There were many content-driven shows that had strong, complex and riveting characters and storylines before these Saas-Bahu melodramas hit the TV channels. Let’s have a look at these TV serials.
Malgudi Days
Malgudi Days is an Indian television series based aired on DD channel on the works of R.K. Narayan. The story revolved around Swami and his friends, Malgudi Days is one of the fondest memories of our childhood.
Fauji
Shah Rukh Khan debuted with TV serial Fauji on DD channel. Fauji is the story of Lt. Abhimanyu Rai who learns how to become a good army officer. With a very well written script and brilliant acting, Fauji is one of the best Indian TV shows of all time.
