Asia Cup Won’t Be Played In India. First Time Ever 6 Teams Will Be Part Of It

This is breaking news and every cricket fan must read it. The Asia Cup 2018 was scheduled to be held in India in the month of September but sadly, there’s a change of destination now.
Fresh reports said that now, Asia Cup 2018 would be played in UAE owing to political tension between Pakistan and India. This news was announced by Nizam Sethi, the Chairman of ACC.

Sethi said that the entire matter was analyzed and shifting the location was found to be the best solution.
This tournament would be held between the 13th of September to 28th of September and for the first time, there would be 6 teams. First 5 are Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and India.
The 6th team is not yet decided. It will be one out of Singapore, Malaysia, Oman, Hong Kong, Nepal and UAE.

Asia Cup 2018 will be played in UAE between 13-28 September. Asia cup will featute full members Sri Lanka, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Afghanistan. Sixth team out of Nepal, UAE, Hong Kong and Oman will be via play offs.
This is Asia Cup Tournament’s 14th edition. Last one was held in 2016 in Bangladesh from 2nd of February to 6th of March.

Out of 14, 12 were 50-format ones and previous one was a T20 format.
