The biggest and ultimate wish of millions of Deepika Padukone’s fans out there is finally coming true, we’re saying so because if Filmfare’s latest reports are to be believed, the Padmaavat actress has signed her next film and it’s a superhero (superheroine, maybe?) film! Yes, you heard it right.
After the uncertainty surrounding her impending project with Vishal Bhardwaj due to her co-star Irrfan Khan’s illness, Deepika had no films signed, until now. And now, here’s the news of the stunning actress signing for a superhero film!
Revealing on Deepika’s role in her next big superhero film, a source close to Filmfare said, “After going through several scripts, Deepika has finally locked one and this is a massive superhero film. Deepika will have various action scenes which fans haven’t seen her doing before. The untitled film will be produced by Fox Star and she’s quite excited about it already.”
During a recent interaction with a publication, Deepika spoke her heart out on the kind of work that she is looking forward to after Padmaavat, the actress said, “I can’t tell you how many people have said, “can you do another Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani?” But people aren’t making that many love stories anymore. Everyone is making sports biopics. I want to do something fun and light – that’s my brief! And that hasn’t come as yet.”
