The second quarter of 2018 looks good and giving best Bollywood blockbusters
The first quarter of 2018 has seen some really good and blockbuster movies like Padmaavat, Baaghi 2, Sonu ke Titu ki Sweety and also some impressive movies like October, Pari, Raazi and such. The next half of this year is stacked up for Zero, Gold, Simmba and Thugs of Hindostan.
Now, you must be thinking as to what might be the plot of these upcoming hits, keep reading this article to know more about the plot and the release dates of these movies.
  1. Thugs of Hindostan:
First up the list is, Thugs of Hindostan releasing on 7th of November starring Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Sheikh. The movie is based on an 1839 novel, Confessions Of A Thug written by Philip Meadows Taylor and the movie is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. The novel was a best seller in 19th century Britain and tells a story of a dangerous Thug, Ameer Ali.
  1. Zero:
Next up the list is, Zero releasing on 21st December with the reunion of the Jab Tak Hai Jaan stars, Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. You will see Shah Rukh Khan as a dwarf in the movie.
Sources also revealed, “With Zero having several elements of science fiction, the makers wanted to give it a befitting end. So you will see the climax of the film take place on Mars. While you might think this is very strange, there is actually a quite logical reason to why the climax will take place on Mars and you will come to know about it while watching the movie.”
  1. Gold
Third on the list is, Gold releasing on 15th August and starring Akshay Kumar in the leading role of the TV fame Mouni Roy and Amit Sadh will also be seen in the movie. The plot of this movie revolves around a real-life story of India winning a gold medal after its Independence at the Olympics. The teaser of this movie looks quite promising.
  1. Dhadak:
Next up the list is Dhadak which is releasing on 20th July starring the new entry Jahnvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar. The film is directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced under Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Zee Studios and is a remake of Marathi blockbuster Sairat.
In an interview with PIT, Shashank said, “The basic premise is of differences in caste, honour killing and what it means to survive in that world, and I feel that is the conflict that is alive all across India, you will hear stories like that. So in that sense, the basic premise (of Dhadak and Sairat) is same. But there are variations.”
“My story is based on another setup… It is (set) in Rajasthan. It comes with its own challenges, conflicts and style of a love story,” he further added.
  1. Simmba:
Fifth on this list is, Simmba which will release on the 28th December starring the quirky Ranveer Singh collab with Rohit Shetty for the first time.
This is what Rohit has to say about the movie, “We have bought the rights of Temper but our film is not exactly a remake. We wanted to take four-five scenes from Temper but we thought it’s better to buy the rights. It’s what we did with Singham.”
