For some people, drinking alcohol is a way of celebrating moments while for several others, it is a sort of necessity to drink to get rid of the whole day’s stress.
But drinking alcohol too much will not only give you hangovers but also increase weight, irrespective of the fact whether you are drinking wine, beer, rum, whiskey, etc.
Jelly Devote, a fitness blogger, used to drink alcohol a lot and lived an unhealthy lifestyle that resulted in weight gain but soon she realised that this is not what she wants. She has posted her before-after photos on Instagram in which ‘before’ shows her pics from the past when she was 70 kg while the images under the ‘after’ title show present photos in toned avatar weighing 45 kg.

She wrote on her website,
“Now, finally, I’ve found a balance where I eat the right food, make sure to exercise at least 3-6 times a week, and don’t starve myself. I’ve honestly never felt better. To live a healthy lifestyle, it’s important to eat both enough calories with essential nutrients, but also to exercise!”
She also told that she was very insecure and upset with the way she looked when she was heavy. She regularly posts inspirational and motivating messages on Instagram for men and women to keep striving for working hard to achieve what they want in life.
She wrote,
“Everyone is always asking me if it’s too late for them to change, it never is! Age doesn’t define you.”
She further wrote,
“My mentality is the biggest difference between these two photos. I no longer care what anyone else thinks about my looks or me at all. I love me, I’m enjoying life at the same time as I’m thinking about my health. I’m currently in the best state of mind I’ve ever been and I’m darn proud of my journey.”
She also emphasised on the fact that people should focus on how they look rather than how much they have lost as per the weighing scale.
As per her,
“Weight doesn’t matter, you matter. How you feel about yourself. Don’t focus on a number that can fluctuate 5kg in two days.”
So if you want to lose weight, reduce your alcohol intake as it has a lot of sugar and carbohydrates which will increase your weight.
