Lt. Bhavana Kasturi Created History At The Republic Day Parade, And Netizens Can’t Stop Praising Her

Our 70th Republic Day, just went by on January 26, 2019. As you all know, every year on this day, there is a huge parade in its honor. The parade sees participation from different segments of the Indian Army, but this year, the parade was particularly special. And that’s because of Lieutenant Bhavana Kasturi, who kind of made history at this year’s parade. As per reports, Lt. Kasturi joined the officer’s training camp back in October 2015.
And today, just about three years later, the officer is being considered the face of women empowerment by many. Wondering why? Well, that’s because for the first time in our history, a woman officer led a contingent of Army Service Corps in the parade.




Yes, it was Lt. Bhavana Kasturi who did the honors and made all the women in India proud. The year-long practice of the Army Service Corps marching band came to fruition on Saturday. And Bhavana could not be more proud of this achievement.
