Do you remember the connection between Rohit Sharma and Sofia Hayat? Well, for those you who don’t know or remember, the two dated somewhere in 2012. Sofia Hayat, who is a British-Asian model met Rohit in London through a common friend. As per reports, the two hit it off and began dating. It, however, did not last for long. But why are we talking about such old news all of a sudden?
Well, the infamous Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul debacle has brought about a frenzy in the Indian cricket scene. Many are highlighting old incidents from the lives of various cricketers and demanding actions on those matters. One such incident relates to Rohit, Sofia and Virat Kohli.

Now coming to the point. Well, Sofia is currently working on a book which will contain details about her dating life. And in the light of the same, she reportedly revealed something about her relationship with Sharma.
Here is what she said about dating Rohit Sharma:
“I met him in a club in London. My friend told me ‘he is Rohit Sharma’ but I really didn’t know as I don’t see cricket much. Anyway, we got talking to each other and soon moved over to a quieter place in the club. It went pretty quickly from there. He kissed me. It was pretty nice. After that, we danced together.”
This reveal sent the social media sniffing for a scandal where there might be none. People soon dug up some of Sofia’s old tweets, in one of which she compared Rohit and Virat Kohli. Here are the tweets in question:

And before everyone could make sense of it, people began demanding suspensions for the cricketers involved. Soon after the outburst of illogical demands, Sofia herself took to twitter and made a video post.

One has to agree that there is a lot of confusion going on around the matter. It is also hard to decipher the tweets, which do not all seem to be photoshopped. Nonetheless, digging something from seven years back and making such demands is certainly bizarre.
