This Media House Got Slammed For Insensitive Tweet On Kumbh Mela 2019. Twitterati Are Enraged

Kumbh Mela 2019 is a grand religious fair where millions of people converge to bathe in the Holy Ganga. The Mela is even a part of the UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list. Since there are a lot of sentiments attached to this pilgrim, any insensitive remark can result in a huge outcry. And unfortunately, something similar happened when a media house tweeted about it.
The tweet in question was made in reference to an article published. The article questioned Kumbh in reference to the high unemployment rates in UP. Find out what the tweet was and how it upset the Twitterati.

Here is the Tweet by the media house:

: If everyone had decent jobs, rally maidans would be largely empty and, save for babas and curious foreigners and devout senior citizens, not very many would spare time for Kumbh

Can help alleviate UP's unemployment problems?https://mybs.in/2X31upc

Well, the tweet did make an impact, but not the kind the publication must be expecting. This remark left many enraged who soon began trolling the publication and the writer, left, right and center.

This is what some of the comments went like:

Can anyone help journalists alleviate their standards?

If writer had decent skills, this space would be filled with some sensible stuff.
(Or maybe he does have but he is blinded by his hatred)

Can anyone help journalists alleviate their standards?

A pioneer in yellow journalism?

If people had decent marketable skill sets, no one would ever take up journalism as a profession and even worse, join an obnoxious rag like BS which is a pioneer in yellow journalism

 To stop publishing BS (bullshit)

Nonsense! As a senior corporate exec I was leading multi-billion dollar companies across the world. And I used to travel to India for my 15-days meditation program every year, without fail. So BS (Business Standard) needs to stop publishing BS (u know what I mean by this BS).

Wonder if the writer, Mahesh Vyas can think things through.

Wonder if Mahesh Vyas has any brains to think things through - if the Kumbh did not see participation from such a huge portion of the populace, why would the "curious foreigners" be interested in getting there as tourists ??

Actually, it does alleviate unemployment issues

This one

This writer’s theory is pure bullshit!

If everyone are decently employed and enough money you could see more than four times the number of people in Kumbh. It is not a picnic spot but a pilgrimage centre. But one needs money to go there. Hence many from far off places are not able to go. Your theory is pure bull....

As is evident, many are calling out the writer on the lopsided judgments and opinions. And the fact that the media house did publish the article is upsetting the sentiments of many across the nation.
