As he flaunted his Urdu skills stating “My mehbooba and I are delighted to be back in India,” Prince Charles bowled India over during the last leg of his just completed Commonwealth Tour.
While the best of Delhi donned the ideal hosts to the Prince of Wales and Camilla Parker Bowles, Duchess of Cornwall, on November 08, Shilpa Shetty Kundra met the noble pair at the British High Commission yesterday.
The sexy actress, who was the only Hindi film star at the occasion, said that having interaction with the regal pair was an inspiring experience.
“It was wonderful to see his enthusiasm and love for India,” she said.
Mrs. Kundra, who works comprehensively with the British Asian Trust, was there with the aim to talk about viewpoints of enhanced cultural links between the two countries.
Shilpa added up that the pair showcased intense curiosity in yogic exercises and made attempts to find out more regarding its advantages during their discussion with her.
“We spoke at length on yoga and how we could popularise it in the UK. Prince Charles also spoke about extending support to my foundation that champions the cause of girl child education. He was so encouraging of the initiative.”
During his ninth visit to the nation, the Prince spoke to guests at the British High Commission and praise vociferously the “sheer assortment” of the Commonwealth.
In addition to meeting Indian PM Narendra Modi, their two-day tour to India also consisted of a visit to Amar Jawan Jyoti, a garden bash in respect of Elephant Family — the aid organization set up by the Duchess’ late brother, and a visit to observe deprived school kids.
