The Gurugram Police has finally admitted that they erred in Pradyuman Murder Case. They had arrested Ashok, the bus conductor as a suspect, and tortured him until he confessed the crime he hadn’t committed. The Haryana Police accepted on Saturday that omissions took place on their part during the probe.
Gurugram Police Commissioner Sandeep Khirwar called a meeting of the first investigating team, which had arrested bus conductor Ashok Kumar and declared him a paedophile. The team admitted that they mishandled the case and erred. They admitted that they didn’t watch the CCTV footage carefully, and missed the initial 8 seconds of the video where the Class 11th student can be seen calling Pradyuman to the washroom.
However, they don’t have any explanation of how did they made such huge mistake.
The Police Commissioner then slammed the cops and sought a complete inquiry report on the matter and the exact details of the police officers who analysed the CCTV footage. He also wants to know that on what evidence did they declare Ashok as the murderer.
Meanwhile, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has started probing whether the first team deliberately implicated the bus conductor. They are looking into the matter that if evidence were planted willingly to save the actual culprit and to falsely implicate Ashok in the case.
