Rajkummar Rao and Kangana Ranaut after Queen will reunite onscreen for Mental Hai Kya. The poster of the upcoming film was released which has given the audience a huff.
And, the recent reports say Amyra Dastur has joined the cast of Mental Hai Kya and she will be seen playing the love interest of Rajkumar Rao. As earlier reports said Kangana would play the role.
Amrya was last seen opposite to Saif Ali Khan in Kaalakaandi and it is also said that she can play the love interest of Ali Fazal in the remake of Telugu super hit film Prasthanam.
Talking about Mental Hai Kya, Rajkummar said, “the script is unique and unconventional. Kangana has said that she chose the film for a personal reason.”
In an interview with the leading daily, Kangana said, “The way my life unfolded in the past few years, I realized there was so much stigma attached to being different. ‘Mental’ or ‘psycho’ were the terms used to shame me, but these can’t be used casually as swear words. When this script came along, I knew I had to do it to break the stigma around it. High time we made individuality aspirational.”
Kangana Ranaut about the film’s aspect of dealing with mental illness and said, “We won’t show people as pitiable, sympathy-seeking characters. We’ll portray the issue with sensitivity. The film takes a stand against equating individuality with madness.”
