Recently, we have seen many Bollywood films showcasing out of the box themes. These films outlined real-life scenario and thus suffer the burnt of either censor board or people. There are many examples of the same, films like Padmaavat, Loveyatri and many others remained a matter of discussion at the censor board. Some faced issues because of their names while others’ storylines became a matter of concern. Such films despite having good content and stories usually have to suffer because of the lack of support coming from the censor board. Another film that has made it to this list is No Fathers in Kashmir.
The film is directed by renowned filmmaker Ashwin Kumar who was earlier nominated for the Oscars. He has also won two National Awards but his recent movie, No Fathers in Kashmir is battling to get clearance from CBC.
Earlier the film was denied a U certificate which pushed the makers to appeal to The Film Certification Appellate Tribunal.

It has been more than 6 months now that the film is dwindling between the censor board and The Film Certification Appellate Tribunal, however, no decision has been made related to the film’s release.
No Fathers in Kashmir is the story of a teenage Britsih Kashmiri, Noor, who tries to retrace her roots. Noor tries to get back to her roots in search of her father, along with a boy, Majid.

Ashvin @ashvinkumar knows Kashmir so well. That’s the first thing I thought when I read this script. And that’s exactly why I so wanted to be a part of this project. For once I felt that here is a film that doesn’t pretend ... doesn’t mislead ... and most importantly doesn’t lie.
