Produced by Aamir Khan, this film tells the tales of forgiveness. Helmed by Svati Chakravarthy Bhatkal, it was aired in seven languages all across the nation on January 26. It is currently available on platforms like Hotstar and Netflix.
The tagline of the movie reads: “Three unbelievable true stories.” Believe me when I say that is true! Rubaru Roshni has three short films woven around the theme of forgiveness. There is no wonder that the intense emotion of this documentary will pierce deep but it will also make you think hard. The movie will leave a lasting effect long after you have watched it.
The story revolves around three families who have suffered unimaginable pain in hands of other people. However, instead of seeking revenge they choose to take the tougher path of forgiveness. Rubaru Roshni is not just another film but also a lesson to look inside and be a better version of ourselves.
The film also looks at the world of crime. It tries exploring the harsh realities of life that might push one to become a criminal. Rubaru Roshni is a soul-stirring movie, to say the least.
