Seems like this is an era of biopics. This year, the biopics on lives of gangsters (Daddy and Haseena) hit the floor. And now we are going to have a biopic on the life of controversial political figure of Modern India. There are reports that a biopic will be made on life ob Maharashtra’s Shiv Sena’s leader Bal Thackeray. Nawazzudin Siddiqui might essay his role.
According to the sources, the official announcement will be made on December 21 at an event in Mumbai which will boost the presence of stars like Amitabh Bachchan.
Nawazzudin has, however, refused to comment on this new project. Initially, Mr Amitabh Bachchan was considered for the role. He has already played the role of the political leader in ‘Sarkar’ franchise. Other contenders included Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Manoj Bajpayee.
The biopic is being produced by Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut, under the banner ‘Raut’ers Entertainment’.
