Top Music Bands that topped charts and entertained audiences in the 1990s

Many of us or our parents and elder siblings have grown up listening to music especially these bands if you are a fan of music. These bands were amongst some of the famous ones and people were never tired of them no matter what.

Here are some of the first modern music bands that were the pioneers of such style of music in the country:

Indian Ocean:

This band was found in the year 1990 in the capital New Delhi. The ‘Indian Ocean’ is a rock band from India. They introduced a new form of music that was a blend of fusion and rock.

Of late, the band that has two replacement members due to loss of two main members are performing concerts due to issues of copyright and negotiating with record companies. They were first to set a new trend of fusion of classical Indian music and western rock.

Bombay Vikings:

From fusion to remixes, the Bombay Vikings famous for the iconic song ‘Kya Surat Hai’ and ‘Woh Chali Woh Chali’ gave a new sense of remix music in the 1990s. The main founder behind this new remix group was Neeraj Sridhar and ever since the year 1994 keeps the modern sense of music going.

The band has given great songs to the audiences in the country that are all-time hits and get back the cool memories.

Band of Boys:

This first all-boys band entertained audiences with their cheeky retro style video in an Italian style. They enlightened people with their cute young boy looks and got the heart of the crowds. Consisting of only males, they come from different parts in India and sung several hit songs.

They were called in fun – the Boyzone of India or the Backstreet Boys of India. They first introduced the all-male band and ran up the charts too soon.

Silk Route:

This band is the top and some of the luckiest bands that received success and topped the charts. Youngsters who listened to their songs still hum on many of the songs that the band performed. The famous songs like Dooba – Dooba and others shot them to fame all over the country.

It was started by Mohit Chauhan and they got the relaxed musicals with a modern touch.

Euphoria:

Some of the famous songs – Dhoom Pichak Dhoom, Raja Rani, etc. needs no introduction as theirs was the ‘Go To’ band who sing these songs. They were one of the first bands that grooved to their music. Some of the hit songs that they sang still find their way to music fans’ playlists.

String:

While many of the bands run their time like all good things in life and then go off the showtime, this band is an evergreen band. They sang hit songs right until the late 2000s. The top of their songs ‘Sajni’ shot them to fame and prosperity.

These band members with lively music sang to audiences and gave viewers great videos to go with their songs.
