Savita Poonia, the goalkeeper of women’s hockey team had turned into the way to winning the title of India following 13 years in the Asia Cup last.
Savita has not possessed the capacity to land a position yet in spite of the considerable number of accomplishments in the nine-year global profession. Savita, who started playing in Indian women’s hockey team in 2008, played her 150th international match at Kakamigahara in Japan.
Savita, who has made a vocation in hockey for satisfying the desires of her late granddad Mahindra Singh, has addressed the grounds of achievement, yet has not possessed the capacity to get work for herself in her own life up until this point.
Subsequent to coming back from Japan, the goalkeeper from Sirsa of Haryana stated, “I am going to be 27 years old and I am looking forward to getting a job for the last nine years.” I was hopeful of the Haryana Government’s ‘Medal Lao, Job Pao’ scheme. But there are just assurances from there. ‘ Even in Asia Cup 2013, Savita’s father is a pharmacist, who has won two medals for India against the bronze medal with a bronze medal, and she is dependent on her earning for her expenses.
She said, ”I have been playing hockey for nine years and even today I have to take money from my parents for my expenses, while in this age I should take care of them.” Every time there is tension, that I do not have a job. I do not let it affect my performance, but hopes for every win and then loss breaks me down. This is going on for years.
Savita also said that this victory would increase the pool of girls in women’s hockey. She gave credit of her performance to goalkeeping coach and former India goalkeeper Bharat Chetri and chief coach Harendra Singh, “India’s women hockey will increase the popularity of women’s hockey, and I am confident that more girls will come to the ground. We have qualified for the World Cup on our own and will repeat this performance in the future.”
